Mahindra drops the black cladding from Scorpio’s tailgate

Mahindra drops the black cladding from Scorpio’s tailgate
Mahindra has updated the Scorpio by ditching the black cladding from the SUV’s tailgate. Though the cladding accentuated the rear of the Scorpio, Mahindra has greatly reduced the applique’s size, taking into account the feedback from its customers.
Mechanically, the Scorpio continues with the 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHAWK diesel engine that produces 120bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is available in both 2WD and 4WD version, with a five-speed manual gearbox. The four-wheel drive enabled versions can now switch between 2WD and 4WD on the fly using a knob on the centre console.
The altered rear design has been introduced throughout the Scorpio range, and not just the top-end variants. The Mahindra Scorpio competes with the Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and the Nissan Terrano.
