Mechanically, the Scorpio continues with the 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHAWK diesel engine that produces 120bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is available in both 2WD and 4WD version, with a five-speed manual gearbox. The four-wheel drive enabled versions can now switch between 2WD and 4WD on the fly using a knob on the centre console.
The altered rear design has been introduced throughout the Scorpio range, and not just the top-end variants. The Mahindra Scorpio competes with the Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and the Nissan Terrano.
